Not too long ago, I came across the fact that wearing white after Labor Day was a big no-no in fashion, according to a rule that started near the turn of the 20th century. At the beginning, I thought, wearing white fabrics for the summer makes sense because summer is hot and white clothing is proven to keep you cooler, so maybe it had something to do with that (Guess what? I know nothing). To my surprise, after doing some Google investigations, I found out that this pesky social rule was created to differentiate the social statuses of women (seriously??). That was it for me; definitely wearing white all year long. What a ridiculous rule to follow, right?
Of course we all should wear white after Labor Day; it’s all about fabric choice now. We can wear whatever we want, whenever we want, however we want it, because it’s 2017. As long as it’s appropriate, according to the weather and occasion, if we feel fabulous in it, then why not?
If there is a fashion rule book out there, I never got it; wearing what makes me feel happy and comfortable is what’s important to me. So, yes, this girl right here will be rocking white 12 months a year.
Here are 3 white-inspired transitioning-into-fall looks I really love. I hope you enjoy them.
